How to delete your RetroLoot account
You can delete your RetroLoot account yourself, whenever you like, without asking anyone. In the app: Profile › Delete account. On the site: sign in and open Account. Either way you are asked to confirm, and the deletion starts immediately. If you can no longer sign in, write to privacy@retroloot.app from the address you registered with and we will do it for you.
What gets deleted
Everything that is yours, in one go and with no backup copy: the account and its sign-in credentials, your email address, the collection with its notes and conditions, the wanted list, price alerts, the Google or Apple link if you used one to sign in, open sessions and your devices’ push tokens. None of it can be recovered: there is no bin and there is no cooling-off period.
What stays, and for how long
Two things, and neither of them is your profile. Server logs (IP address, page requested) expire by themselves within twelve months. Invoices for a subscription, if you had one, are kept for the period the law requires, because on those we have no choice. The price history of the games is not your data and stays where it is.
If you have an active Plus subscription, deleting the account does not cancel it: only the store you bought it from can do that. Cancel it first — in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions, or in your iPhone Settings — otherwise you keep paying for an account that no longer exists.
